Mega...? yay or nay (Kylee not really spoiler hint. XP)

Sooo... of you who have seen the new Lucario Mega evolution. What are your opinions?
I have to say my first reaction was a fan girl scream. ^^; I rather like it. However, I'm not sure I like it enough to permanently evolve a Lucario to it. I am very curious as to the mechanics surrounding this new umm... mechanic. ^^;
I will say this though. The fact that Lucario and Absol got new mega evolutions has given me a bit of a kick in the ass to work on the luca prequel and sequel. XP It has given me quite a few new awesome ideas, especially since Kylee's time is supposed to be flooded with hyper powered pokemon.
So what does everyone think? I'm curious and I'm kinda in the mood to talk or something. XP

There's the blaziken, Absol and Lucario mega evolutions. About the only issue I have is that Lucario's teardrops turned to kindof odd looking dreadlocks. ^^; That and Absol looks much more girly in Mega. XP
Can I ask though? Would you be opposed if it were something like an alternate form? I suppose the best comparison to what I mean would be something like a super saiyan. ^^;
I don't know if it would be a different direction for the stories themselves. Just kind of icing on the cake. ^^;
