I can get it patched fine. It just won't show up in the game list when I go to load the rom.

Is it sad that the scene with Flint flipping out was probably better than similar scenes done in most live action movies?

One does not simply punch a fucking fire and beat up his friends, then get clocked by a four by four. Dayum.

It IS sad. The most moving and touching moments I've seen in past year are from WALL-E and Mother 3. CGI robots and game sprites with written dialogue. Not from actual actors, no, the best acting I've seen lately comes from CARTOONS AND VIDEO GAMES.

Granted, they're very GOOD cartoons and video games, but still.

Yeah. Right now I'm up to Chapter 4, and... wow. Just wow. The Jealous Bass is really freaking hard. :/

Haaaaa ... =D Yeah. The bosses in Mother 3 feel a lot harder than the bosses of Earthbound. But maybe that's just because I've played Earthbound so much. I'm not really sure.

I know how you feel. I think Mother 3 is just harder though, especially because it's so hard to execute the combo system. That, and there almost always feels like there's a shortage of something...

... In my case, probably character levels.

I didn't really have much of a problem with the combo system ... it just, I don't know, it seemed like there was never a good time to grind levels. Maybe it's just because I didn't know the layout of any of the areas at first. It'll probably be easier the second time around. But yeah, I was CONSTANTLY tight on cash throughout the game. I'd buy upgrades for my party's equipment, and only have a few bucks leftover. It wasn't until the end of the game that I could afford actual items.

I think the idea is to kill most enemies you come across, but I tend to skip some of 'em. :/

Equipment and items seem to come naturally anyway, rendering shops moot like half of the time :/

Im loving every minute of this game. i WILL be replaying immediately when i finish it.

But still. awesome game. Why wouldn't they want to bring this over to the states officially.

I will be part of those people, but I have other thing I have to finish first before getting into this.

And maybe that's why it was not ported over. It was that good. It would put our stuff to shame.

I didn't give a damn when my best friend irl told me... but now, suddenly, I have interest.

Y'know, I first heard about this project over a year ago. I signed up at their website so that they'd E-mail me as soon as it was finished. For months I watched my inbox, but with no avail. I began to lose hope. I thought maybe I had entered my address incorrectly. I checked the website on occasion, but rarely was there a word of progress.

And then on Friday night I happened to be reading BoingBoing, and saw this: http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2008/.....glish-pat.html Within seconds, I was scouring Google for a ROM, and within ten minutes I was playing it. And then, halfway through chapter 1, I got an E-mail. From the translation team. Saying their long and tortuous ordeal was finally over.

But by then ... it was TOO LATE.

The game didn't make me cry, but there was moments that made me feel... empty.

And I have some urges to try it again, to see what I missed.

But now I think on it, is it just me or does the game satire it's prequel at it's endgame with the monsters?

I really enjoyed Earthbound alot though, so i'm guessing this is going to be one gigantic heart warming PSI Rockin fest.

I love Earthbound so much, and this does not disappoint at all as a sequel. Surprised the hell out of me at how emotional and tragic the story is at points. :U

Yeah, it's surprisingly dark in places. Makes for a nice contrast with the simple, colorful graphics.

As a story of nature versus technological advancement... Hell, as a story, it really does strike a chord with me. I love the game, and despite only being at Chapter 5 (Haven't had time to play, college is kicking my ass), I can't help but look forward to the rest of the game.

And Flint's fit of rage was just an amazingly well done bit.
