Do not focus on the loss, but instead, celebrate the life and memories he brought throughout such a long duration of your times together.

We buried my cat, who was 21 or so I think at the time, my wife's rabbit (who I think was 12?), our bird (~3 years), and my Beta Fish (~2 years) in the garden so they would again be part of a life we could share and refuel the great circle of life. But that's not for everyone. Best of wishes and luck to them in the next life ^_^

Your pet will love on in every feline pic you draw, a man and hos pet is a sacred bond that can never be broken. He is at peace.

it's always hard to lose a pet, my cat died from a wild animal biting her (she was like 15 years old) and our other cat got out and got hit by a car. (only about 6 months old), but luckily my newest cat is afraid of going into the road and woods. for now at least.

I remember every cat I ever owned mysteriously disappeared, which according to some is a very common thing. I hardly ever hear of a house cat passing on in their owner's home, so I can imagine that the very moment was something of heart jerker. It'll take some time getting over this loss, but life goes on and so do we.

Same thing happened to me, man. My cat had to be put down on March 20, 2012. He was and still is my true best friend.
