Feline Acne + Commissions

---✖--- So my kitty has feline acne. I didn't even know hat existed until this black gunk started showing up on her chin. I thought it was dirt and would scrub at it.. now I feel horrible because it probably hurt her.
Anyways.. I'm worried because it seems to be getting bigger and bigger. I tried to schedule a vet appointment, but since the fair is this week in my town, all vets are closed. (I know right?)
But I guess it doesn't matter since I'm between jobs right now and don't have a lot of extra money. So to raise a little extra cash, I've actually started my Halloween Commissions a little early. Here's the info on them: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5045094/
By then I should be out of training for my new job and back to not having to resort to drawing to take care of her. x___x;
Do any of you have experience treating feline acne? I want to help her but I don't know how.

Also, before I go any further I give thee advice with the knowledge that you are unable to currently afford vet care and are seeking holistic remedies. :D
Now that the disclaimer is out of the way....
Feline acne isn't something that I generally worry about UNLESS it is in its severe cases. To ME severe case would be facial fungus/blistery looking bumps (almost looks like a horror film) in which case, I'm sorry you may need to go to the doctor.
Are you sure it is feline acne? How old is your cat? and is this diagnosis a 'self' diagnosis?
My first thing is, make sure it isn't fleas first. Most cats I run into not only hate fleas- but also have a flea allergy. They will scratch and scratch and scratch and scratch. This willl in turn cause the cat to stress out. Stressed cats do have the tendency to produce acne.
If that is the case, I would take a spray bottle with a good healthy dose of dawn soap (yes, dawn soap. I am a religious dawn soap user) mixed with some warm water, with a couple cap fulls of peroxide and spray it over the places that your kitty lays.
Also...even if you feel there isn't a flea, with some cats it takes just one.
After that, I'd take some light soapy water and just wash his face a bit.
As long as it isn't bad and pussy, (large puss and fungus will need to be seen by a vet) just be patient and see if it will clear up.
It's just a dark patch right by her lip. It looks like little specs of dirt when you get close, and if you try to touch it or rub the "dirt" off it comes off as little black specs. I would just keep assuming it's dirt, but it seems to be getting bigger.
She's had fleas here and there and never had any type of allergic reaction.
I was going to get her flea medicine when I took her back to the vet next week, so the fleas should be taken care of then.
I was just worried about her. I don't want her to be in any pain so it freaks me out. :(
But thank you!
Just use soapy warm water until then, I wouldn't scratch it off just gently wash. :) The vet will help when you go get her spayed, good news is she will grow out of it!
Is she fussing a lot with the area? Perhaps it's something similar to their cat so maybe try using ceramic bowls if you aren't already?
