TARPS OFF BOYS
So, just don't want y'all to forget that I do maintain a SoFurry account.
http://neox.sofurry.com/
In my dreams, SoFurry would become my primary art gallery. I do still update it with new finished works, but the following I have here on FA is what mostly keeps me here. I just love the site layout, the interface, and the nifty little features it has (like full HD viewing).
So this is just me advertising a bit. Anyone with an account at SF, please feel free to send me a watch or a friend request or both. =)

And yes, I really wish the population would just jump over to a better site. I've heard a lot of horror stories from mods and admins and coders who worked on FA and it really seems like there's a lot of bureaucratic bullshit going on behind the scenes that keeps this site from improving.
The same horror stories is why I wish more people on this site would demand better quality and therefor take their business as a user elsewhere. However, the majority doesn't really have standards of experience so long as they get their furryporn. And it's those folks that keep artists on FA cause this is where the money for commissions is.
Vicious cycle. I just wish FA would give back to its community and actually update the interface like they've been talking about since the dawn of time.
Anyways, big mess, lots of people didn't want to keep up their art where the site wouldn't protect their rights and where someone running it would make such an unprofessional journal.

So... if it's been a bit quieter there lately, that may be why.
I don't have an account there, and I'm a bit reluctant to sign up. I like the look of Weasyl though.
But when you think about it: FA has done the same thing countless times over the past. There is almost always some stupid TOS or Mod-fuck-up that goes viral through everyone's journals and causes a "mass migration" to another site (which never actually happens, because every artist I've seen post the "LEAVING FA FOR [insert alt gallery website here], KTHXBAI" is usually back on the FA wagon in a matter of days)
I'm not trying to say that I'm kicking my FA gallery and moving to SF. I just hope to eventually move there in a more gradual manner, same as I did going from DA to here. All I did was maintain DA and FA simultaneously, and when I felt like I had enough of a following here I simply stopped using DA.
Like what I said to Magnus: Weasyl is nice, but it's new. Too new. They're still working on it (and, quite frankly, I haven't seen anything change in the last 8 months, which kinda leads me to believe that they're not really working on it, or they're making a bunch of changes that they're going to release en-masse at some point).
But yeah. SF has a kickass interface and more perks and features than either Weasyl or FA have, at the moment. The owner of the site seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and I've known a few people that know him personally that are able to back it up. Therefore, SF has become my site of preference.
I like the look of Weasyl, I think it has potential. And I'm not in a hurry to open galleries anywhere else, so I'll just wait and see how the sites progress.
