I am having to rebuild my desktop, but I kept all of the important data. Some system files got corrupted and I needed to do a clean reinstall of the OS.
I should be back on my feet soon, but I am now having to do through the long and tedious process of reinstalling everything. As I worry that the corruption might be caused by a failing hard drive, I am planning on dropping everything into a new drive as soon as I can. Fixing things is easy, but time consuming.
I am cancelling Wednesday's Livestream as I am probably going to be spending a large chunk of that day getting my machine back into shape and doubt I'll have the energy to stream once it's all over.
On the good side, reinstalling iTunes has resulted in me discovering a lot more music on my drives, so Playlist is now about three times bigger than it used to be. (Seriously... we've gone from 2000 songs to 7000.) ALL HAIL SKYNET!
My apologies for all of the delays, and hopefully I will see you all on Friday.

And while I know you don't like tech advice (actually, you REALLY hate "have you tried this?" - which isn't what I'm saying here...)
I tentatively this suggestion... RAID 1 - (full mirroring). I use it on my GAMING PC, and don't see a major slowdown in performance... drives are relatively cheap now, and it HAS saved me from some annoying errors a couple of times. It still can't solve everything, but I've found it useful.
I hate my puppet shows. Because it turns out to just be me putting laundry on my hands and spending the next hour answering uncomfortable questions to a pair of googly-eyed sock interrogators.
...But I hope the re-install goes well! :D
