Oekaki is gone.

Hello all, I hope you're doing well.

I have some very unfortunate news. My oekaki, the Black and Orange Oekaki, is being shutdown permanently. While this is something I am not wanting to do, this is a matter of oekaki software. The applets are Java based, and Oracle (owner of Java) is going to be shutting down all unsigned applets. This means that not only will BOO be gone, but all oekaki.
So to everyone with pictures on BOO, I will be leaving the oekaki up for two more weeks from today until I'm sure everyone has had a chance to save their pictures. I personally will also save the images to my computer, so if anyone is unable to get their images straight from BOO I will still have the files if needed.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported BOO since 2011, even after the web host issues. I hope everyone has experienced joy through not just BOO but all oekaki. Every member and every picture drawn is important to me and I cherish all the memories.
For emphasis: BOO will be open until the 15th, unless Java is taken down before then. Please save any pictures you have on the board, I will save them all as well.
Again, I'm so sorry for the news, but unfortunately it's out of my control, I will just do my best to make sure everything is taken care of before it is down.

Oekaki is what made me the artist I am today. At least I have years of memories to cherish.
Surely there are some C++ based Oekaki applets out there, or at the very least VB. Though if Java is really shutting down the oekakis I'm sure some die-hard fans will be very quick to make new applets that work. Don't lose hope, Tiggy!

I know it's sad to lose your oekaki, but you have the memories AND the experiences! Here's to more wonderful years of memories for you. All the best!
