Hello!
As you all know, the server was down for a few weeks,
and then was brought back up just a week or so ago.
It isn't nearly as populated as it was before, and before
I begin advertising in an attempt to bring traffic up,
I would like some general feedback, and some suggestions of what I could/should do.
Some feedback that would be very helpful:
What should we do in 1.7? New map? Keep old map?
Any plugins that should be used?
(Note: Nothing game changing, this is a primarily PvE semi-vanilla survival server; e.g. no 'Factions' or 'iConomy')
Suggestions for map management.
Suggestions for admin tasks, or how one should get admin in the first place.
Suggestions for ranks, or what donors should get.

$5 donors get full set of iron armor
$10 donors get iron armor AND access to a special area at spawn
[color=purple]$25 donors get iron armor, special area access, and a diamond shovel
[color=red]$50 donors get above rewards PLUS fly mode
$75 donors get above rewards AND god mode
$100 donors get above rewards and a "VIP" tag in chat
$250 donors get above rewards and fully enchanted diamond sword
$500 donors get above rewards and have the "VIP" chat tag become replaced with an "ULTRA" chat tag
$1000 donors get above rewards and a stack of diamond blocks
Also, I think we started the longest conversarion on the page.
While you say no iConomy, you could use an economy system as allowing server-side features such as teleporting and world protection. You would gain the currency for free per playtime and would only be used to pay for teleporting and for claim-protection. You could set it up so "/home" costs you about 5mins of playtime, "/spawn" costs you 5mins as well, "/tpa" costs 10mins... and so on.
As far as plug ins go. I love factions but I agree it's not the right plug in for this server. (It's meant for a true PvP server.) While this is generally a PvE server, the Grief Prevention plug in is very good at managing casual PvP and I would like to see it turned on. With GP PvP can only occur outside claimed land. So if most people build around spawn (which a large amount have on the current map) then you'd have to get pretty far from spawn to start getting harassed with PvP.
With it being mainly PvE I'd like to see some type of currency, if not currency some way to create a market and for us to sell/buy blocks/resources in unmanned stationary objects(usually chests).
Also maybe a world limit. Like 10k or 15k away from spawn.

Also, a shop function would be cool ^^ I saw that suggestion somewhere up there
