There is no such thing, FA took it off from what i heard. Searching for users or artists costs a lot of memory usage. They use SQL hun the Query would eat up so much bandwidth.

Go to google and search for # along with whatever you're trying to find. Not perfect but it's better than nothing.

The post is ancient. But there is a way. Write @ lower [user_nick_from_url] , and it will search for things published by the selected user. This way you can filter in or out artists if they have FA account.

Standard syntax rules apply. Wish there was a better guide on that

This doesn't help at all. What EXACTLY would I search if I was, for instance, searching for a user named Blackpeel? Everything I try shows me either 0 results or a search backend failure message.

The colon could be a space instead. It just is easier for me to read with a colon for some reason.
If you want to additionally search for a tag, put keywords: before the tag, or it breaks the search. I suspect it tries to treat the tag as a second username, and since a file can't be by 2 users, it gives no results.
So if you want to search for pictures tagged happy by user blackpeel, you would type
lower:blackpeel keywords:happy
Make sure you go into your global site settings and change the default search. By default, it only looks at posts from the last 5 years.

Mind it, you have to use not the displayed name, but rather the name from the url (you can see it after /user/ in the url adress of a person's profile)

I also use it with @ and a space, like:

(@)lower blackpeel

(But without () obviously)
