Last night I had a talk with my girlfriend. She wanted to bring some things to light in our relationship - id est, the problems we've been having.

For starters, we don't really seem to get along. She's more blunt, strong, tough, and a bit on the insensitive side. I, on the other hand, am more sweet, cuddly, affectionate, easy to forgive. We do love those things about each other, but those are also the things that are taking a toll on our relationship.

Then there's the long-term stuff. She's coming out of college, I'm only just now starting. She wants to know that she can be with someone who's on the same level as she is, who she doesn't have to wait for. I'm doing everything in my power to kick my ass into gear and get shit done. She's giving me the chance to be that person. And I can't blow it.
