Sent heads off to a machine shop for cleaning and checking for cracks.
Well, they came back as good.
Needless to say a simple visual inspection revealed a crack in the intake valve to the spark plug well....
DAFUQ..... gave em 250$ to clean, machine and check for cracks... and it's cracked. Fucking Ray Charles would have seen this crack....
I'm soo fucking pissed.

Had a Head reconditioned for a 5.7 Hemi 300C, a valve seat fell out. Replaced the dead piston, put the car back together and it had a knocking noise, sounded like it could have been big end bearings or stubborn HLA's that just wouldn't bleed.
Turned out a piece of valve seat had gotten into the head and got stuck in the cylinder next to the original fault. Way to go, guys.
