Ouch! Tech support/customer service definitely aren't what they used to be. That is so frustrating that they couldn't help you out. Can you at least talk to Paypal to get back into that?

I have a Gmail and moved things over to that, steam ect... but never had the hastle with yahoo... Will need to see about the paypal deal change or start a new one. Or get something else.

Fuck, had something similar happen to me but I deleted my old yahoo email and I forgot to unlink it to my laptop and every time I booted it, it would try to sync with it but since it no longer exists, I couldn’t unlink it. And it kept sending me the same message every 5 minutes to relink with the email. Had to hard reset everything to fix a very simple problem.

This sort of stuff is why it's vital to keep your recovery information up to date. Everyone reading this journal, go double check yours on all important services! Fix any old phone numbers, secondary emails you no longer have, etc. Also that your 2FA recovery keys are somewhere you can find them.

While you're at it, double check that your backups are in order.

Just had the same problem with an AOL account. Nothing important there, just some memories I guess.

To unlock them I have to answer a security question that I left too vague :(
