Again Mel, we're called "Starving Artists" for a reason. Probably 97% or so of the artists on here are in the same boat. I'd love to be able to stay home, chill with Violet, and draw all the time for a living. But that's not how things go in this world. It sucks, it really does. But in a world with this much competition, it's hard to make it high enough to even hang off the floor of the top.

Your gonna do what you have to do, and that's fine. Just try not to take it to hard to heart. :( *hugs*

Wll this is depressing =(. I never got around to commissioning you because I've had other people to pay off first. I wouldn't have even wanted anything pervy or sexually themed either, since your art is such a pleasure to look at. You're having a hard time getting commissioners? I know that feeling all too well, I still very, very rarely get even one. That being said, don't forget you are also competing for your commissioners money and it can take a very long time to build up a loyal group of followers and fans to commission you frequently or semi-frequently or recommend you to other people.

Mel, don't give up, never give up. Your art is wonderful, let's work on getting the word out about this, ok?

I'm sorry to hear of the troubles you have been going through. You're and amazing artists it would be a crying shame to see you shutter your commissions all together. I'm gonna try and help by giving you a bit of a signal boost. I barely know you but please don't stop accepting commissions due to a commission slump. This slow down seems to have affected nearly all the artists on FA, I think it mostly has to do with the slumping economy and the nearing of holidays, and the prices of everything going up cutting into peoples extra cashflow. Just please don't give up I'm rooting for you.
