Criticism Makes the World Go Round
So I was looking through FA one day and I come across some submission made by some guy who calls everything he makes 'purrfect' and makes basically all his submissions via a Gaia Online Avatar Creator.
Wut.
Completely, totally, utterly lame. Super lame. This goes beyond lame and into another category -- But I'm not an asshole, so I'm not going to say something like that on someone's page!
So I go and comment that I'm not particularly impressed, and that I would be impressed if he'd go ahead and endeavour to draw the character he'd made, with his own hand.
Seriously, worded like that. It's not rude, it's not offensive, but it gets my point across that what he's doing isn't creative and is in fact, pretty fuckin' lame. Anyone can click shit around for half an hour.
He flips shit at me, calling me names and calling me 'rude and ignorant.' He then tries the supposedly bullet-proof comeback, "HOW WUD U FEL IF I SED DAT 2 U!!????!1///"
I said rather succinctly that, because I am an artist and I am in fact not ignorant, I would love it if he called what I did garbage and could explain to me why, because I want to improve.
I explained that as an artist I recognise that negative criticism is necessary for growth in an artistic venue, and that flipping out at me like that and calling his shit "purrfect" really only made him look haughty.
Also, furfaggotry. Use English. "Purrfect" is a horrible pun you find on birthday cards with cats on them.
The fact is, you will never improve at what you do if you're not informed of what you're doing wrong. I want to be told what it is I'm doing wrong, so that I can get better at what I do. It's nice to get 'o dat's cute' as a comment every now and then, but in all honesty that's kind of useless to me. I'd rather be told 'you need to work on your foreshortening.'
That's what my aim is. To give positive encouragement when I see it's needed, and to give negative criticism -- always constructive, however, I'm never going to just 'tear someone down.'
People need to grow up and stop taking themselves so seriously.

I saw the same guy, I felt like telling him that that isn't art but I'm sure he woulda siccd his friends on me like an impudent child
It's kind of like, UM DUDE, THAT MIGHT BE A CLUE OK
Sidenote, Don't take retards seriously either.
Guys a horrible tard. I knew him back when I was a myspace fur. Nothing good will ever come of his existance, he'll live out his life serving a walmart, hooking up with fags into his late 60's.
Nah, I don't take retards too seriously, but every now and then, I let my faith in humanity be bludged back into the dysmal abyss where it belongs. ;3
No but seriously.
Just do your best to rid the world of retards one at a time.
Much love Oereo.
The worse someone is at making 'art', the more sensitive they are of criticism of said 'art', because they know it's terrible, and have preprogrammed themselves with a barrage of defensiveness against any negative feedback.

If you scroll down its just a grosser display of the guys idiocy.
At this point it's probably just tedious and soul drying to look at though.
