That was fun! Wheeeee!
I came to see people so I haunted the central areas looking for familiar faces.
Thursday night I went to the con to register- I was dicking around till I saw Artdecade. Then I got to see Marcothecat and a couple of other really cool artists. I geeked out and made an ass of myself but it was still fun to see them.
Friday I toured the four artists alleys. I think dividing up the space worked pretty well in terms of traffic. I got to put more faces to the names I've been watching like Strype and Stigmata. I did some talent ogling till prying my way into the Dealer's Den which was entirely too small. Nothing astounding but then I have been swearing off material possessions a bit lately so don't take my word on it. I was thrilled to run into Jasper and her friend who I am embarrassed to admit name escapes me but is in charge of organizing some particular element of AC, and a gentlemen named Fabi who turned out to be awesome to talk to.
Later on I ran into Miateshcha and Missy Vixen again after a few years of not going to cons. We, along with their friend Killosk came up with a horrifying new fetish (at least I think it's new) NO I WON'T TELL YOU WHAT IT IS! HAHAHAHA!
Saturday after working for 11 hours at my......awesome job I came in and met up with my older brother (the monster who brought me into the fandom) and his daughter. My niece was absolutely having a blast. I enjoyed people watching with her and attempting and failing explaining things she was seeing. We were chastised more than once by the Joy Gestapo over such infractions just as running, skipping, jumping, experiencing happiness, not being old/mature enough to engage in coitus.
After they departed (past her bedtime no less!) I went to the Figure drawing panel. I attended a nude figure drawing panel years ago when it was run by Jasper. This time there were several times the number of people there to draw. We were in a long room and there were SIX models simultaneously! So we had out choice of genders, body types and poses. It was very cool and very fun. Lots of barely tasteful but not insulting jokes. No creeps either which apparently was impressive.
Sunday didn't happen because it was back to work and my fabulous job till the con was over. Somehow being local didn't mean my sleeping habits were any better so I need the sleep anyways. There were a few things that I meant to do that I didn't but unless the world ends I'd say there is always next con. I hope everyone who went had a good time and found it worth the trip like I did.

Dang!!! I came there to look for people too! To be fair I had to work around my D@amned work schedule which didn't help.
