MFF was just a blur to me. In part it was because I arrived at the hotel at 3:15 on Friday afternoon and departed 48 hours later on Sunday, but also because I got ill on Saturday and spent most of that afternoon and evening in a haze (not brought on by alcohol) and/or in bed (not in a good way). I missed participating in the parade. I missed the OFA photoshoot. I missed being in suit, period. I'd planned on 4, 6, maybe even 8 hours on Saturday but 2 minutes into the 'Being Awesome in Suit' panel and just 25 minutes into being in suit that morning I had to get out. Not sure if it was because of some cold like symptoms I'd experienced on Thursday, some particularly greasy Denny's food from Friday evening, the poor night of sleep that followed, the cooling vest that seemed to be just a little too chilly, or (most likely) a combination of all of the above. Whatever the case I went from enthusiastic and bouncy to fatigued and a little fevered in a very short amount of time and I remained lethargic/chilly/fatigued/fevered for the rest of the day.

In short, most of Saturday was just a big giant ball of suck.

But the con itself was not a complete waste. I got to meet 9 of the 10 people on my 'Hope to meet and/or hang out with' list as well as to meet some new folks and acquired an awesome new badge. And while the loss of almost all of Saturday's 'suiting and panels will likely cause me to remember MFF 2013 as a miserable *personal* experience, I can take some vicarious pleasure in that I got to see some of my friends ( Miezekatze-Suit,  Calico.Firethorn &  Kiraswiftpaw) experience the magic of their first full furry con. If one of us was gonna have a lousy con, I'm glad it was me.

So... Sorry to those handful of ya who really hoping for snowy hugs and/or wanted to see my suit in person but didn't get to... Maybe next year. :(
