I never liked Bambi when I was little. Although I had never watched the whole thing, I figured it'd be pretty boring from the bits and pieces I saw. I mean, it was about a deer who's mom dies and then some other shit happens.

We've been talking a lot about white-tailed deer and how much they affect our local environment in my biodiversity research class, and consequently, my colleagues and I have reminisced about Bambi. They were a little appalled to find out that I didn't like the movie when I was little. However, due to a certain fandom I've recently joined, and more specifically, a certain artist in that fandom, I've discovered that I am quite partial to deer, particularly ones that are very feminine, yet allegedly male.

I've been watching little snippets of it on youtube. Some parts are simply adorable, and everything is choreographed to the music. When I go home for Christmas, I'm definitely gonna watch the VHS (also, the Fox and the Hound, because we've been talking a lot about that one too).
