Well I really think the Hobbit really at most should have been a 2 part thing if you wanted to get a lot of the book in. All these extra characters and scenes are REALLY not needed.
I admit seeing some of the Lost Tales is rather cool, especially if you want to tie it in with LotR, but that orc hunter guy and Tauriel and ballsack chin orc king, ect was not needed....

yeah, if anything needed an extra movie, I would have said do all of LOTR right (don't CHANGE anything) and make an extra movie. Hobbit doesn't need three movies, two would have been perfect XD Lolz on the orc king, because... yeah... wtf man

I was rather happy with how well LotR was translated into movies, as though it wasn't EXACT on the translation, at least it stood up rather well on its own. I'm hearing from friends who haven't read the book that they're just lost on the Hobbit and I don't blame them.
I want to know what John Howe or Alan Lee were thinking if they were the one that created that thing. Maybe it was a spoof taken too seriously?

yeah... I just don't even... XD it's too bad, worse than the fat Gungan in the first star wars remake, much as a PAINS me to admit. The Hobbit just isn't THAT complicated of a story that it boggles me why people are lost. It's such a cool quest story that it's sad to hear this one wasn't as enjoyable :p Overall LOTRs was really good, just a few things I would have preferred Jackson to have stuck to the book more- like Eowyn being a badass XD Mostly minor changes. I'll see all the Hobbit eventually, but just not looking forward to it as much now, sadly!

Yeah, well I understand them as Peter wanders away too often from the main story for people to understand what's going on.
And I do agree, there's a few things I would change about Jackson's LotR (especially Saruman's death asfdkj;asvfffff and less romance drama with Aragon), but definitely NOT as much as the Hobbit movies.

I didn't go to this last midnight showing for a reason for this last movie as I was afraid of it and it met most bad expectations (except for Tauriel, I thought I'd loath her but I just have mild dislike). Admittedly I didn't go to the first's midnight showing, but I had an excuse-I was in the ER at the time ><;
