I think that is a fair answer. I am happy with our school system too, for the most part. I think it could use a revamp, maybe some stricter rules because kids are just coasting these days. But otherwise, I'm very proud I went to school in America.

I know people all over the world and I know how a lot of their school system works. It wouldn't work here. While trying to keep kids to what they're good at is understandable. Not everyone starts good at something such as math. Not to mention the brain matures at different rates. One who is not good at something as a child may develope a skill for it as they grow older. When I was little I hated math and my written grammer was poor. [still is a bit on some areas] over the years however my writing grew into a much more acceptable level. I remember when I was in school and they tested me. In the test on the 4th grade. my skill level in everything but righting was 3 years ahead of my average person. However my grades spoke otherwise. The teachers would often puzzle over it and I'd get sent to many school psychologists as they tried to figure out the answer. Was it funny that not once in their testing did they every think "hey maybe he's not scoring high because work is boring and he'd rather draw than spend time telling the teachers something they already know he can do."

In any case I'm happy with what our school system is in the basics of it. My only thing I'd change is the factor that teachers should pay more attention to the student than the grade.

But then again are u in the actual school system? I'm in hi school and there trying to teach us things, by us trying to figure it out our selves.

I'm in collage algebra and medical class, I don't know how to do any of it, so I rack my brain and get frustrated when they don't give notes or information.then we have major hard test.

Yes it may be free, yes it may be better then others, but the route there taking us, is not efficient toward the real world nor jobs

No school system is, if you want to learn about the real world you have to actually live.

I went to public school and they very much offer courses on how to get and do a job, you just have to actually sign up for them. Its only like a couple of weeks worth of classes needed. Not to mention the government offers said courses as well.
