I have been using this striped wolf as my fursona since I first joined the fandom a decade ago. However I have no explinatiion for my appearence. And have been leaving it vague untill recently when it has been bugging me. I casually threw "thylacine somewhere in the family tree" out as an explination a couple weeks ago, however I just learned of a species of hyena from South Africa called an Aardwolf that coincidentally has the exactly stripe pattern I have been trying to convey all these years. So I am finally putting my foot down and saying my fursonas father was a grey wolf and his mother an aardwolf....mostly because there are not enough hyena women around....
