Firs off, no I am no pregnant....

My best friend just gave birth to her first child and it made me realize that motherhood is not for me. I've always said that I didn't want kids, but always toyed with the thought of it. But today seeing Katie with her little boy made me think. Yes I love infants, I would hold and bounce newborns and babies all day if I could but seeing how her life changed in just one day, I just don't want that. I like my life, not having to worry about another human. being responsible for them and everything. Call me selfish, but I just don't want to. People tell me I am extremely mature for my age, and they are probably right, but I still feel like a child myself. I can barely take care of myself and my dogs, I don't think I would ever be ready for a child.

If you have kids, good for you! But I know for sure now, they are not for me.
