Sionna.

a. What initially prompted me to write/draw them.

that is the first image of her drawn in ms. ross' art class at south sound.
she was sort of an emotional outlet for me and was inspired by alot of poetry and sorta dark feelings i had at the time
b. One of their best traits.
she is very creative, she is a writer and makes some of her clothes. she loves to dance and is very loyal.
c. One of their worst traits.
she is socially inept in alot of ways and can only express how she truly feels in writing rather than out loud.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write/draw the character.
she is so easy to draw. i love drawing her body and face and she always has fun hair to draw too. she changes it alot.
e. The moment where I feel that I truly captured the character.
i guess when i draw her with anukia. they are strangely star crossed lovers and while they fight and can really get on eachother's nerves they are right for eachother.
f. My plans to write/draw the character in the near future.
i originally wanted to make a comic involving sionna, anukia, darla, ash's character ridel and a few other guest appearances from other characters. it was to chronicle sionna and anukias early relationship and all the drama that it casued. fascinating, yes i know.
but for now, she has become just an outlet again, a familiar form to draw when i need to draw...

Lame of me not to pick someone else but I'm curious about self representing characters so... Dream Runner!

a. What initially prompted me to write/draw them.
omfg, where to begin. dreamrunner was a name i came up with when i was maybe 14, i was really into werewolves and after doing some looking for werewolf art i found temple of luna. it was an old website with furry and werewolf related stories and art. it was the original posting grounds of kyoht and goldenwolf if i remember right.
anyway, i saw all these other artists who drew werewolves had cool names for themselves so i wanted one too. i chose dreamrunner for literal reasons. i had and still to this day have dreams that i am a wolf running through the woods.
the design of dreamrunner was originally grey-brown and the markings were slightly different than now.
the original creation of dreamrunner was an effort to portray myself as a werewolf in art.
b. One of their best traits.
creative, good sense of humor, caring
c. One of their worst traits.
can be selfish, lazy and prone to artblock (dreamrunner is me alright?)
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write/draw the character.
like falling off a log. no really, whenever i cant draw at all its the first thing to fall out of my pencil, some form of dream

Anukia, one of my faves :)

a. What initially prompted me to write/draw them.
Anukia was created specifically to be Sionna's opposite and perfect match. Where sionna is rough, she is refined, where sionna is butch she is femme, where sionna is akwardly shaped, she is proportioned to resemble a porn star. she is everything sionna hates and loves and they are not whole without eachother.
b. One of their best traits.
she is seductive and persuasive, she knows how to say exactly what someone wants to hear. she is very strong and fit, she works out alot to keep toned. she is a very impressive dancer.
c. One of their worst traits.
she can be conniving and selfish. she has an extremely addictive personality, luckily fitness and smoking seem to be the vices she clings to, her past is made up of some much nastier ones.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write/draw the character.
well as easy of a design she has, it can be hard to render her sometimes because capturing her attitude isnt as easy as with sionna. i guess i just relate a bit more to sionna and her attitudes than anukia's.
e. The moment where I feel that I truly captured the character.
when she is with sionna. when the balance is restored by their union.
f. My plans to write/draw the character in the near future.
anukia will of course never die, she was originally going to be part of a comic involving sionna, ridel, darla and some other guest character that would have chronicled sionna and anukia's desperate, akward but true romance. but like sionna, for now she is simply a familiar friend who helps me get creative from time to time....

I'd love to see more art of them two. I know they must continue to inspire you in some way, let it out!
