I'll be honest, I've played around with the idea of changing my name after middle school. "Kidany" isn't exactly a cool name by the general public's standards, and I've gotten many a ridicule for it. Especially when they can't even pronounce it properly. I don't mind at all when that happens (in fact, it's kind of amusing), but it becomes a problem when it's being made fun of deliberately.

But I still keep it to this day, because it's who I am.

You may not care for your name, and that's perfectly okay. But it'll create more hassle than good if you decide to change it without thinking things through. I think Nicole is a good name, personally, and I'm not just saying that because we're BFFs~

I'll admit that I'm in the "unable to pronounce it correctly" camp and I feel bad for that despite being on the receiving end of both that and "let's make fun of it" camp. Although when that happens to me, it's because people have failed kindergarten or something. >.> But I digress. I really like Kidany because it's very unique. On the other hand, Nicole is more common than Magikarp in any body of water.

Like I said in that journal entry I was thinking of going with Soren. The combination of changing everything, the possibility of getting flak for it because I'm not gonna change anything about my appearance other than the occasional haircut, and trying to get others (including myself) to use it kinda makes it not worth it after all. It's the conclusion I came to after a lot of pondering. *shrugs* Still, I'm glad to get your thoughts on it~ <3
