Post-FC 2014

I'm not planning on doing the normal narrative report this year for FC (though that may change). I do, however, have a few highlights and shout outs I definitely want to get out there. So... here we go!
General Highlights:
- Waiting in line for registration is usually a time when you're excited about what's to come, but otherwise really bored because you're standing there for hours. This year's line was no exception. However, while waiting, I started paying attention to the people around me. Over there was this guy who hooked up an amp and was playing the guitar (complete with accidental ringtones!). Sprinkled around the line were these incredibly skilled poi spinners doing moves I've never even seen before. Over there was a yo-yoer doing a complex combination that was breaking my brain. Behind me, a few people were talking deep philosophy. Up ahead was a juggler. Quite a few artists were creating beautiful sketches. So many amazing people with so many wonderful abilities. I'd like to think that there's just as much talent everywhere else, that everyone (furry or not) has a world within them that's absolutely beautiful that they can share. You just don't often get to see it in day to day life, and I think it's pretty cool that we have a subculture where people can be so free to shine. Even when they're bored out of their minds waiting in really long lines.
- Free hugs! I'm pretty sure I was hugged over a hundred hugs during the con. That many hugs from that many cool furs can make a cheetah feel pretty darn warm and fuzzy. :3
- Playing the NES game Kung Fu in suit. It took a while to figure out how to use such ancient controls (turns out you don't move the controller around like a mouse or point it at the screen). The game kicked my tail because it was totally cheating. Still, it was great fun. :3
- I don't know who it was, but while in the headless lounge, this tiny little kid, like 5 years old or something, comes in wearing a little bear costume, lead by his dad. "OK, this is the headless lounge, This is where you can cool off," his dad explains. They goof around together for a few minutes, before he instructs, "Alright, we're going to leave now, so you need to put your hood back on and get back in character." The kid proceeds to stomp around all bear-like before the two leave. Cutest. Thing. Evar.
- Constantly meeting furs on planes, buses, and trains to and from the con.
Shout-Outs:
- Elaki: BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!
- Faust: I'm glad we actually got to really hang out this time! Thanks for rooming with me and Elaki, and being just like... the most awesome tiger ever all the time. I already miss you a lot! Stay awesome, buddy! You're grrrrrreat!
- Kannik: It was so great getting to see you again! I loved getting to chat with you, I loved all your panels (especially the mindfulness one!), and I really, really loved getting to do the dances with you! I can't wait to see you again when we do the Mudder!
- Incubus: Even if you were really nervous, it was absolutely wonderful to get to meet you. Thank you again for the opportunity! *hugs*
- Scruffy the Fox: Thanks for all the wonderful hugs, both in and out of suit. :3 Getting to say hi again to you really meant a lot to me! I can't wait to see you again next year!
- The other Scruffy: You are impossibly hard to track down, but I'm glad we did manage to talk a little! Just don't think that'll save you from my wrath, you traitorous terrorist. ;3
- Rex: I'm glad we got to see each other again, and I hope me yelling over the music trying to explain poi moves during the dance actually helped somewhat. XD Your fountain's looking pretty good already! I'll see you next con! And hopefully with balloons this time, since seeing you without them is a little surreal. ;3
- A very special gofur (you know who you are): Thanks for all those hugs, and thank you for all your hard work in helping to make such a wonderful con happen. I'm glad you ended up leaving with your card after all. :3
- Simboku: Glad we finally got to more officially meet (even if we both apparently didn't recognize each other for half the con, despite seeing each other all the time). Once again, you have wicked awesome glowstringing skills! We'll have to trade a few tricks next time and do some spinning together!
- Wildchild: I only got to see you in passing, but I wanted to say thanks so much for that bracelet! It meant a lot to me! Keep shining, my friend!
- BarkerJr: Thanks for hanging out with me so much! I loved talking to you and it was great getting to see you again. Thanks for all your great work with the fursuit lounge (it was VERY appreciated!), and thanks for taking the effort to track us down at our departure terminal to say goodbye!
- Chatah and Floww: I'm glad we got to see each other again this year! Was great fun getting to learn to dance with you guys, teach poi, play tabletop games, and also steal some of your food. ;3 And thank you for the wonderful art, Chatah! Keep in touch, both of you!
- Cheetah: It was great getting to see you again, and big congrats on the steps towards Africa! Seriously, I know you're going to love it, and I wish you the best of luck with that. I had fun getting to eat dinner with you and Demon!
- Sky: Great meeting you, and I'm glad you got to come to the US for FC! Still love your suit (even if everyone kept getting us confused!). :3
- Hypno-Beast: Glad we got to meet without a table between us this time! You are, however, still an evil person who should feel bad for ruining my pita experience. Darn lions. XD
- Makyo and JD: *tilts cowboy hat and quick-draws* Considering how close we live, we really need to stop mostly seeing each other at cons in other states! I hope you two had a blast. Oh, and a belated happy birthday, Makyo!
As usual, there are SO many awesome people I got to meet that I've no doubt forgotten to list (or I simply don't know your name because it's really hard for me to read badges when I'm in suit!), but thank you to all of you! And if we met and I have (or haven't) forgotten you, feel free to toss me a message so we can keep in touch!
See you next con!

See you next con!
One of my friends actually mistook you for me and asked if I was wandering around with a free hugs sign, and I was flattered. :D Go spots!
This next year, my current plans for me are BLFC, RMFC, and MFF. If you're going to any of those, I'll be sure to save a hug just for you. :3
I saw you here and there around the con althogh didnt get to interact much (except for a fluffy cheetah hug when I was in suit! XD)
Awesome seein ya spin at the dances though! I was a total beginner last year at poi, and got hooked ever since your poi panel that year and never stopped since then, def owe much to ya for settin me off on that journey ^^
A few minutes ago, I just saw your spinning in the video Simboku put together. I can't believe I didn't notice you during the dances! I wish I had so I could have talked to you a little! You are absolutely incredible! And I seriously can't believe you haven't even been spinning that long. You must have some serious dedication to have gone that far that fast! I'm very honored I got to be a part in your journey. ^^
