Kyo Passing Away
My son died today. For many..when they think of a son, they think of a human child.
Not mine. He was a smut gray kitty that was bottle raised until he could eat hard food.
He was a trouble maker with angelic tendencies. He was a join Mom for a shower and play with the soap
bubbles. A lay in the sink while you run water and tried to brush your teeth. A lover who snuggled with you
every night until you drifted off to sleep. A man that waited for me no matter how bad my day was and always
had the best answers to any conversation we had. Whos life was cut short today at 7 years old.
My father and ER Vet both agreed on that fact that it was a brain aneurysm.
Something that is never noticed, never known, until it is to late. It is the same in humans.
And unless I find $200.oo to pull out of my ass for an autopsy Ill never really know. And can only
go on "general ideas".
I was working on Gwyien mask and he was nomming out of his food bowl.
Suddenly he jumped back as if something had bit him and went limp. I called for my father and we laid him flat
out on the floor. We checked to see if he was choking, and nothing was found. My father cleared Kyos air
ways and started mouth to mouth.
I bundled him up and we took off for the vets down the road. Due to the ice storm, they were shut down.
By then, Kyo was gone.
I know I had one adopt bid I was in, and have messaged to withdrawal my bid. I thank her for being understanding.
My Kyo is my child. My son. On top of losing a day and a half
of work due to the whole Gulf Coast being shut down, I now also have my child's burial expenses to take care of. He is my son,
and there will be no shoebox hole in the ground with him. On top of the fact
that my birthday is Friday (31st). So right now I'm emotionally not here.
So If I lean off the beaten path for a few days, everything will be okay.
I just need time to gather myself.
We give thanks for the creatures who live alongside us as companions and friends; for their loyalty, love,
and trust which enrich our lives and give us joy. May we learn the value of kindness, the power of mercy,
the strength of gentleness, and a new spirit of humility.
Your local Red Cross and some Vets offer Pet Emergency Classes.
I suggest this to anyone who owns pets. You take safety classes for
your kids and coworkers...why not your pets.

I'm glad I was home and here with him. We had a good day today. He ate Cheddar Biscuits and played today.
I'm so sorry for your loss!
