Dear winter, damn you expensive! Calling commissioners PWYC

Not sure if everyone has been experiencing this, but OMG this winter is unexpectedly expensive.
Recap of winter thus far:
Too much fucking snow. Put my car into a snowbank on New Years Eve to avoid someone sliding through a red light. Car needed a new bumper because the snow ate part of it... yea deductible...
-30 or -40 F wind chills canceling everything except for work. Because if the mail is moving, samples can come in, and I have to process and analyze the poop for the lab. As a result our electric bills are DOUBLE our summer bills. WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! Seriously the thermostat is kept at 65F and turned off most of the night and when we aren't home (except sub zero days).... If I could survive it and my pet could survive it I'd keep the heat turned off, but my pet is a lizard and I am clearly half lizard....
The ice on my car last week broke my ice scrapper of 3 years (sad panda). Also again WHAT THE HELL WINTER?!?!?
Our HR sucked at the negotiation of our health care plan and my medical bills are on their way up. United Healthcare decided to move the prescriptions I take up a Tier making them cost $10-$20 more per refill. You better believe it I am rocking prescription discount cards from the drug makers to help mitigate those costs. Which is surprisingly effective. My Co-pays to see my doctors of course went up and the worst offense of our new contract.... my out of pocket deductible went up $3000 to a grand total of $9000 before my chiropractor, prescriptions, and other bull spit start coming up free (sigh)

So... if you have some money floating around and care to throw some my way I will turn it into art. These will be 2D creations based on what you care to pay. Could be a silly sketch for $5 or if you have some generosity in your heart I would love to paint you a badge. Contact me or reply what you have available or guilt a friend into getting something for you. I can ship these to you for $3 extra and will happily laminate it for you if you want to wear it. This is a rare opportunity for my watchers since I tend not to offer art on a pay what you can basis.

The hydro thing hits a lot of people. My bill, for a two bedroom apartment in the summer is around $75 for two months. This bill for the last two months: $290. Figure that shit out.

I can't figure it out either... Other than this has been one extreme winter with very little sunlight. The siding on the building is really dark and in the afternoon we catch a lot of heat that way. But it only works when it's not overcast and minus anything outside... It's just too friggen expensive and I'm blown away that our also 2 bête room is the same as your bill

I have to say I'm glad that this winter, Max and I didn't have a place of our own. I can only imagine what we'd be paying. I will see what I can scrounge up after my paycheck next week. I wouldn't mind a badge for me and the boyfrand. Hopefully you and Shad are surviving. Maybe once the weather warms up (and some money put aside) we can grab food again or something. I seriously cannot wait for this winter to be over...

I am sooooo done with snow. What a week it has been... Too much snow and my poor car hates driving on it
