Here's two paragraphs of my softer side.

Recently I received through the post a trunk containing a lot of sentimental items. Figurines I've had since I was a child, small ornaments, some bead bracelets my boyfriend gave me when I was still in Canada, the ribbon that wrapped the gift my mother sent me for Christmas that was the first civil communication we'd had in years... Things of that nature. Also my little Aloe Vera plant I ordered arrived today. Some of its tendrils were broken and it's a little shaken up, but it seems to be okay.

I got the chance to put up some items of mine around the room, and it's just made me so happy. I've been here for three months exactly as of today, and it's really been the happiest time of my life. I'm the happiest I've been in years. I'm just so elated that I've been welcomed like I have been, and now I even have a couple of my things I've had since I was a kid up around the room, like my old Yinepu statuette. That little statuette and the moon stone that sits in its lap has been with me ever since I found it in a little shop in Norway when I was twelve years old. It's been in every room I've ever stayed in, every apartment I've ever lived in, with me every step of the way except when I left the continent. And now, it's here, cementing the feeling that this room truly can be a home. It's not just a place I'm throwing my stuff in... It's safe here. I can be here.

I can't tell you how long I've waited for that.
