In my youth, I was constantly in and out of hospitals, to add to the joy of that I also had very small veins. Now keep in mind I was a little kid, after getting stuck 14 times, I learned quickly (I was scared of them there needles!) that I needed a butterfly needle. Whenever someone took blood, I'd just announce 'you're going to need a butterfly needle, the nurses all have trouble.' An older nurse once took extreme exception to my statement, I would guess it was the idea that a small child was telling her what she needed. She used a much larger needle, I don't know WHAT she did but after she was done, having given up by the way, I had a notably serious, made everyone who saw it double-take, bruising on my inner arms (yes, she worked me over on both) for a while.

Best part, she told the other nurses that I never mentioned anything. I'n that lovely, I had my mom all upset with me for not letting her know. I'm glad I never told her the truth, a forgetful child is something mothers are well equipped to handle, the idea that her child was in the hospital with people that might ignore and hurt him, not so much. I've gotta be honest though, I didn't do it for that reason. I just didn't want people upset and angry, I wanted the whole ordeal done and over with as soon as possible.

well it's a b-12 injection because my levels are nonexistent...I have no idea what size needle though, it is pretty fine..

Vitamin-tastic! I have problems with vitamin k myself, but fortunately it's nothing I can't intake through food.

I was asked if I was a vegan after they got my blood test in. I had many strange symptoms I'd just chaulked up to being chubby and having a horomonal imbalance: fatigue, depression, small memory lapses/loss, tingling/sharp pains in feet/fingers, migraines
Apparntly I was bordering enough damage I've probably hurt 2 vertebra and might have some permanent damage there. If i'm a day off my shot, it's bad (migraines are my first warning but I also get those from taking estrogen pills so it's hard to remember, (I was 7 days off this time..)
A noraml range is 200 (still really low) to 900. Mine was barely at 70 and dropping...So it' looks like I just can't absorb it via food anymore (still don't know why but this prolly has been happening for years..ugh) so every month for rest of life I take 1000 mg into blood stream which then floods my liver.

Nonsense, that's actually fascinating! :) It sounds like a lot you've endured, and they don't know why? My last doctor pulled a double take on me and tossed me from his office until I had my medical history case file with me. Going to see him again soon, it's going to be fun!

I think, however, we should enjoy being difficult to pin down. Sure it's a pain, but at least we're interesting. :)
