I never saw the original. I have a friend who's a big Dredd and Robocop fan. He loved the Dredd remake, as did I, so looking forward to this Robocop.

I'll have to watch the originals first though. Oh, and Total Recall.

Aye the Dredd reboot was fantastic. Of course it helps when the star of the movie is true to the source material and refuses to remove the helmet unlike some people.

As for the new Robocop, I'm not going in with high expectations. Between the look of things, and what I've heard from reviews from select screenings, its not gonna live up to the originals.

Oh, and I heard the Total Recall remake was horrid, but I can't make any call there myself since I haven't seen it.

But it fits that he had to take his helmet off in the original. He was no longer a judge when he got sentenced. Plus its Stallone. The official Dredd.

Well, I have no expectations because I never saw the originals. I hear the suit isn't going to be his classic metal, so that has some nostalgia fans bummed.


As for the updated Total Recall, I don't see why people gave it crap. I think its unfairly biased by people who don't like Collin Farrell. They kept the names, but they took a very interesting turn on it that I liked. Instead of going to Mars, it was all focused on Earth. You still had the President and his corporations and higher classed society vs the working class on a remote patch. *spoilers, I think* The working class is stuck on Australia, and you pass through the center of the earth to reach the other habitable part of the world. Nuclear war destroyed the rest. It kept the concept, just the director took it in a different light. I loved it. I still think I'm more of a fan of the original, because I love the old 80s/90s action flicks, but it was well done.


As I learned from Seinfeld "Great" and "Sucks" mean the same thing. You drop your ice cream cone, sucks. What do you say? "great."
