is dealing with a very unfortunate incident that has befallen him and other users hear on FA. While i cannot say directly hear in my journal post on who is causing this problem i encourage any and all users to be careful when getting commissions with other people, ESPECIALLY if you are sending money to a stranger and not the artist directly. you can learn all about the details in the following artist beware link,http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/739490.html
please help spread the word when it comes to dealing with people that rob you when it comes to commissions.

My experience has been 'Always send money straight to the artist' and 'Only do this with strangers where you're in streams, and the artist knows exactly whats going on'.

what's done is done, all we can do now is spread the word about that user and hopefully he will repay roger back the money he stole and apologize to him.

Wow, that sucks. There really should be some sort of yelp-like rating system integrated into the commission tab of the FA page.

I fear that a system like that would be abused by rollers but i agree that there should be something in place to help bring situations like these to light, if not at least a warning system by FA.

Well, there is definitely that potential. Maybe there could be some system where when the commission is placed, the artist and commissioner enable review of each other. Then only the people involved could leave a blurb.

This is why i decided to only commishion my friends! That really sucks that kinda crap happens. T^T

I think it is great when people watt to commissions artists or share one but things like this do happen and when it does we need to stick together as a community and help shed light on dark problems like this.
