FLB: Offseason Underway!

So! I know that things have been quiet again. But we're getting started here at FLB HQ. The biggest issue was the missing hard drive combined with the new job, but I'm not going to let that ruin things here. GMs should expect a note in their FA inbox sometime within the next two days asking for your protected lists for the Expansion Drafts.
How that's going to work is every team will have a chance of protecting 7 players. At least two should be pitchers, either SP or RP/Closer. The two new teams must leave at least one player in each position, but the protection lists guarantee your favorite/best players will stay where they should.
I've come to some decisions on time. I was originally going with May but with everything that's gone on I will set the traditional opening to June 15th. That still gives plenty of time to prevent the players from being too tired, plus it gives plenty of time for the various drafts. I need to get moving, get my motivation going and bring the FLB back to bear. So the expansion draft deadline is going to be March 15th for the expansion draft. That will give one month for the 10 GMs that are starting with players to get back to me with protective lists. The amateur draft will also open on March 1st, and will give two months to gather the pool of players, meaning that the amateur draft is scheduled after May 1st. This will then give one and a half months for spring training.
As I'd said earlier, I'm forgoing the issues of contracts; I will give all players an extra year this year so nobody has to worry about salary issues
The biggest sap of motivation is the missing year of player statistics. I will do my best to recover that hard drive, but if that is not recoverable I will have things ready by the beginning of the season. There's no use is worrying about a missing hard drive. I will get things going right now, thanks for your patience.
One more announcement: Pending moves, the Erie Admirals are now being GMed by
