2016 Thoughts
Greetings FLB Fans. I know it's been quite a while since the last message came about.
As some people may have known, I've been going to school, which is why I ended up cancelling the 2015 season. It wasn't the best decision as the momentum we've built so far got shot (and I still didn't post the final 2014 stats as promised). What I've been going back to school for is to be a teacher, and that will wrap up in June.
I'm tentatively thinking that if I do this, the regular season will start in July, with the usual 80 games that's been. Without the pressure of going back to school on top of teaching, I theoretically should be able to devote some free time to But keep in mind that teaching tends to be a 24/7 profession, and with lesson planning and grading it will eat into a lot of my time. I may have to end up doing things like compiling the games and do a weekly report, or just post the results on the page instead of doing a full writeup.
As to the players, the real sticking point is that there are quite a few players that need to retire, as they're in their late 30s and early 40s, but I don't have the time currently to devote to creating a whole new rookie class for a draft. While leagues such as the FBA and FHL have had massive support in fans creating new rookies for their leagues, I haven't had that same level of support in the two years of the FLB, meaning that it's fallen to me in order to create stats and personalities that are interesting and draft-worthy. One idea that I can do is if I don't have all the teams supported, I can cut two and disperse players out, and that will solve the rookie issue.
One thing I will do for interest if I start up again is that I will make it a long-term project for coming up with head-shots through Fursona Maker for all characters, minus those who already have art for them. I understand that part of the blah with the whole shebang is that the players are largely faceless pieces of text, with only a few handfuls written up with personality or pictures. This is largely due to not having a lot of money to put in for art and having lackluster skills myself.
I need thoughts of fans, GMs and player agents. Would people want there to be a 2016 season and what would you be ok with being without if I have to operate it in a reduced format? I welcome suggestions for practically anything, even if people have any ideas of what they would want to do to help. Thanks for your time, and I'll have a decision quickly, I just need input.

But as to a VP idea- there are possibilities that can be farmed out to someone else, true. I had tried to get a VP last active season, but he unfortunately was busy as well. I can't really farm rolling up the stats to someone else; the rolling of games and getting stats out are based off of one program that would be very difficult to have someone shared. There is an option of me delivering the stats and games to someone and they could then spruce it up or at the very least edit the places where stats are kept.
Other things I can do with a VP would be:
Promotion
Storytelling
Art
Maintaining a secondary website
I know I've come across as a micromanager or being the only person doing things for a while, and that's been rough. But if I do have a VP that can step up and take a few things and doesn't mind me at least looking at it before it's published, then I'd be happy for the help.
You might not know this but we do have a new Furry Baseball league currently forming and is hoping to be up and ready by Spring 2018.
The FA Page is here
I believe that he has been in contact with the guy who ran this league but I don't know what's going on with that. Not much has happened on the FA page or on Twitter but a lot has been happening behind the scenes and I can guarantee you that teams are currently being formed (currently 6 have been created) and they will be revealed in due time.
Just thought I'd let you guys know as I don't know if
