I currently have a CPAP machine that I have had since August since I found out I have sleep apnea. I actually grown pretty accustomed to using it and I do feel that it sorta helps a bit with my energy level, though that can always still be better! Currently, my machine is covered through insurance though it is rented and you are kinda forced to buy supplies from the medical supplier. The worst part is seeing the amounts that they bill for and while I only have a smaller copay, it is still crazy. A hose that is maybe 15-20 dollars on a website they are charging 80 bucks for. I have just had it with dishing out money so I bought a machine myself.

This way, I am not having to worry about compliance (though I am) and I don't feel as if big brother is watching my stats. The machine I am getting is also a little upgrade since it's an Auto CPAP so that's a plus to look forward to. Needless to say, now I can be in charge for when I need supplies. I mean I have like 4 extra hoses here (luckily I think I can use a lot of the stuff I have) but they are just a pain to deal with. I am also hoping the Auto part maybe helps tweak my numbers slightly better as I still feel a little tired during the days and still have AHI's in the 3-6 range most days. Not high, but not nearer to 0. Should get my shiny new machine next week!
