How do you deal with stress?
Long story short, my computer ate a bunch of things today which put me into a fit of insane stress.
Earlier in the day, I happened across a tumblr post (http://tinyurl.com/nxu5oj7) about ways to deal with stress, and thought it was pretty amazing.
So, what do you do when you're stressed? Lend me your ideas, please!

One of my best methods for my stress is to face it and to talk through it. I actually have a book about stress to help me work through it because I'm a logical person and prefer the rational route.
I have to work on not avoiding things and to stop tripping up on the small stuff. What happens happens.
Unless the mess in my house is what's causing the stress. Then I just cry...
For the type of stress that also makes you angry (like losing work due to computer problems)-- FPS games and some tea. Nothing like going on a rampage to help make you feel better. XD
I'm currently in the process of breaking my Manager from his Stress and he's finally beginning to let go. His Stress was so bad that he was maintaining constant chest pains, suffered having a continuous shortness of breath and just a repetitive flow of issues due to the new responsibility slapped on him because of his disposition.
But I smoke marijuana to relax or to get creative. I get very anxious when I'm out'n alone.
And 10 mins of excersise could be jumping rope, jumping jac's, quick jog, some simple push-ups, just something to get your heart racing for a few mins. Let the adrenalin burn off the stress.
i'm not entirely suggesting this to anyone else. i've deliberately gone without whatever it would take going without in order to do so.
yes i have gone so far as to go homeless to avoid it.
so like i say, i'm not recommending my approach, but i do believe this, we do not have to tolerate the causes of stress to live in a world with all of the freedoms and all of the infrastructure and all of it respectful of and harmonious with a healthy natural environment in order to do so.
every cause of stress, and every far greater inequity, exist only because people refuse, are often conned into refusing, by beliefs, ideologies, and self serving economic concerns, to seek an understanding of what incentives are created statistically by our priorities.
everyone is different. finding the least stressful way to live for yourself as an individual is a unique personal challenge for all of us.
and i have to admit, there may even be some things worth more then avoiding it entirely.
but we can still look for ways to avoid adding to the levels of stress that are imposed on everyone.
there are no magical ideologies, beliefs or anything else, but we can boycott aggressiveness.
and again we can look for ways, by considering our priorities and choosing them accordingly, to avoid statistically contributing to the incentives, that motivate the policies, that create the situations, that are stressful and worse.
we can stop regarding automobiles, money, ostentation and excitement, as if they were some kind of gods, and stop worshiping them.
ultimately most causes of stress are indirect like that. the exception being the romanticizing and rewarding of aggressiveness which generate stress directly and almost directly by the inequities doing so cause to exist.
one thing i would never advise anyone, is to treat a symptom but ignore its cause.
these root causes are not inevitable, and neither is telling ourselves the lie that they are.
But after looking at that link in your journal, I realize that I literally already do 14/16 things. I'm truly baffled.
If it's school/college: I don't care, I pretend it's not a big deal to fail a test and I keep saying to myself: worrying never helps.
If it's possible, my strategy is avoiding the stressful situations - unless it's impossible.
Otherwise my default state is chill.
I really don't have that much massive stress anymore, most of it can be dealt with going to the convenience store buying a 2L of cola a baggie of 5 cent candies and as much chocolate as I can afford and all nighting it while destroying my chances of not developing diabetes. Of course once stress is handled and back to even keel I tend to reward myself with a week long homemade veg/fruit juice detox. (And I actually enjoy said detoxes)
O.o not really XD when im stessed I sleep and its gone. Im odd and uber carefree like that.
If you're having a panic attack, find somewhere quiet to sit pronto. Put your knees up, put your head between your knees, and cup your hands around the back of your neck. Deep breaths, eyes closed. You should feel better after a few minutes.
If you feel you have too much to do, write a list of things you have to do and how much time you have to do each of them. Breaking it into little pieces helps you to realize that there's likely actually not as much as you had thought there was. Write out a schedule of when you're going to do things and give yourself a few hours more for each thing than you think you'll need. If you don't think you'll have enough time to complete all of them, then pick out a few that aren't vital and tell yourself that it's okay that you don't do your absolute best on them and knock them out last. Make sure that you actually are okay with your decisions because regret is terrible.
Other types have other solutions. c:
