In most other games, decimating an entire city is something you do when you're bored with everything else. In Gothic 3, it's part of the plot progression.

Nope ... PC. I'm surprised at how well it runs, actually. Like, I have to tone TF2 way down to get it to run acceptably, yet on Gothic 3 I'm running at 1440x900, everything has its own dynamic shadowing, there's even focal blurring in the distance, and the only time I have any noticeable slowdown is when I'm fighting a city full of orcs ... and even then it's very slight.

Actually ... you know what, you're right. They DON'T look like orcs. The orcs from Gothic 2 were all hunched over and had digitigrade legs. And now that I think about it, I've noticed that things like skeletons and ice golems bleed when I hit them. I hope this isn't all just an elaborate costume party that I've mistakenly crashed.

Not all larpers run around with foam bats mind you. The ones I do at anime cons are done with rock paper scissors for general safety....but that still didn't stop a guy from -breaking his own hand- when throwing rock.
