I would never switch over completely -- I don't want to exclude anyone! But I feel like this is a nice step forward. Hopefully from here on it'll start getting easier to move money around digitally, regardless of where you're at on the globe. (:

There's always a downside, though then again, paypal dosin't like to work with most non-us/uk/aus stuff ether.

Doesn't paypal does this as well? I transfer my money from my account to a person on paypal. Could you explain the convenience?

Paypal has some restrictions -- technically, they do not allow adult materials to be sold using their system, so it can be a little iffy working with them. Paypal also subtracts a fee for every transaction, which can add up. Paypal also forces you to accept money into your paypal account and then transfer it to your bank account -- whereas Square would send the money straight to the bank instead, removing a lot of hassle. (:

I tried the "put your email in to get a $1" test, but I have no clue where it goes to o..O

the $1 thing is to open an account for you. When you go to your email and claim the dollar you have to put in a debit card number and they'll send it there.

Actually, I've been using Square for the locksmithing business I"ve been in for about 2 years now. LOVE IT

I've done a lot if interact eTransfer, which is pretty much mailing people money. Never done it with Square though.

I got set up with Square.

The local sign making guy uses Square to process credit card payments though his phone when he installs the signs he makes. I've paid him through it twice and it went off without a hitch.

There is still a flat rate of like 2.75%
