What is a friend?
Lately I've been thinking. What actually is a friend to me? There are a lot of people I like to talk to, hang out with and I'm really happy to see them. But I wouldn't call all of them friends. Even if they promise you to be there for you, not all of them will.
For me the little things are important. How often does a person call me or write to me? Does this person tell me nice things like "I like you" or "You really are good friend" or "I miss you". What does this person know about me? Is he giving or just receiving? Is he able to give back? And no, I don't need the same amount of money or affection back, but I would like to get some of it in return. Does this person listen? Does he/she care? Would he help me if I'm in trouble? Is this person ready to sacrifice something for me? All of those questions go through my head when I think about a real friend.
I don't have many friends. But the ones I do call friends...they mean the world to me. But sometimes...you have to let someone go. If you are reading this...I'm not sorry. But I do look back at the great time we had. May be some day you will understand,
