Watched the Dr Phil furry episode. It really didnt hammer on the fandom at all, although her mother did say "there are no professional furries" which is actually incorrect. But she wasnt one of them. He was more focused on her education and job than the furry thing. He seemed to be fine with the fandom in general. I thought Culpeo handled herself well.

I think her mother does need to relax about it. Furry conventions are very safe from my experiences, and furries tend to be very nice. She made a good point about the "Creepy people" that there are "Plenty of creepy people without fursuits."

Dr. Phil really didn't bash the fandom, which I appreciate. I think he observed many of the letters and emails he got when the fandom discovered his desire to have a furry on the show.

All in all, I think this was not that bad.


Now I didn't like the fact that they put it in the episode with those other people. Then again, they just make furries look normal :P
