Ok, just looked at the movie clip. I think what threw me off was that the glyphs in both cases are counting in what appears to be binary. If I keep the theme that circles equal 1's and flat lines equal 0's, it appears to count up from 0 to 63, or giving 64 instances/ticks. Which means it probably goes to 32 seconds if each tick is indeed a half-second in length. It just seems like an odd way to have a countdown. But then again, it is a movie about aliens from Mars, so... -shrug-
Well really, binary is one of the most universal languages you can have, since it's easily represented throughout the universe by the constant of electricity (being active [on] state and dormant state [off] state). Anything that uses electronics in computing will have to have used that system at some point to be able to use electrical current for storage.
Ugh, how is it that some people are so stupid that they think Fisk is died? The theme in this section of the comic has been used for over 40-50 years. Why can't they ever just pay attention instead of being stupid?
Seriously, people think this!? I've gotten a silly "parody" of it's a wonderful life so far, I don't see how people think Fisk is dead. Seems rather silly to me XD! Though I can't wait to see where this goes, I has no idea Elizabeth remarried after her first husband. I thought she immidiatley hooked up with Fisk.
He's probably conflicted about continuing his clandestine job and this dream is his brain's way of trying to make sense of the mixed emotions; Could it be, he's now the same age his own father was, when was killed in the field?
That's my thought on this post (in relation to the comic) anyway.
HEY! I just listened to The Beatles Revolution #9 backwards... It's not about Paul McCartney being dead but Fisk... I swear I heard "Turn me on, dead cat". Fisk has turned me on for years so I know it to be true. To make sure the fans were not upset Fisk was replaced with his and Lucy's secret triplet Bill Campbell. The clues are there people... you just have to make them up. ;)
I suppose they think he's having a near-death experience, heart attack or some such.
...I'm trying to figure out if he's just going nuts. An Atheist, visited by a Guardian Angel... someone's going to have a really bad night, and I don't know who it's going to be. ...nah, I know, I'm just trying to keep the suspense up.
Hmm, GA's are assigned by the head angel (supposedly), so why would they assign Clarence...er, Clarice to Fisk? Obviously he doesn't need her, but perhaps she needs him otherwise she'd never earn her wings.
already on 231. And I loved each and everyone of those. But, there is something strange: I cannot stop clicking the next button. I want to stop, save the comic for the future, but I cant.
The story, the characters, the small things. The philosofical thoughts hidden beneath these waves of ink. I am speechless for what it is.
Mr. Naylor, you had my apreciation as an artist, and now you have my admiration for being an author. Some furry comics have a caracteristic that makes me feel bad. Yours mades me feel good by reading it.
I apreciate your work. It's awesome, and deserves the use of such a word.
Haha! Realy? Dead? That's what you will think of the guy, who can't be killed even if you will point a tank gun barrel on him while he asleep?.. Dudes, he is like USSR-joke! "In Soviet Russia Fisk kills Death"
If someone was potentially a guardian angel. A divine power that keeps you safe from harm, especially in a dangerous vocation like Fisk is, wouldn't you try not to antagonize them?
I mean, If he/she has been protecting him this whole time, why risk it?
On that note, what's the point of the whole arc if it's just a dream? Why diffuse all dramatic tension if he tells us that it's a dream from the start? I don't get it,
The stupid connections people make...
*shakes head*
But yes, each tick, or half rotation, is precisely one half second.
I was wondering how long it'd be before someone noticed the reference. XD
How the hell is that possible?
(Paraphrasing Nevile Flynn in Snakes on a Plane)
Great minds think alike, however.
People can't even read.
So, back to arguing about Audrey?
-Sincerely, The Ignorant Masses
(( :P ))
Joking joking!

Awesome. May the couch be in Valhalla.
Don't forget the 624 pages of backstory!
624 more pages?
I AM A HAPPY WUFFIE!!!
Is Fisk dreaming?
I mean, If he/she has been protecting him this whole time, why risk it?

I'd say Fisk is in pretty good company!
FISK: I am not dead yet
I can dance and I can sing
I am not dead yet
I can do the Highland Fling
I am not dead yet
No need to go to bed
No need to call the doctor
Cause I'm not yet dead.
BD & OL CAST: He is not yet dead
That's what the geezer said
No, he's not yet dead
That man is off his head
He is not yet dead
So put him back in bed
Keep him off the cart because he's not yet dead.

As someone who has seen way too many terrible versions of IAWL on various shows, I think this thing is hilarious.
