So, to all my Watchers, both long-timers and newbies: A note about me, the kinds of art and themes I drawm and my personal boundaries.
I'm a trained animator (*sighs*) BS in Computer Animation and no job. :P I'm still upset at Disney for that hiccup - I'l get over it eventually. ;) I also have a range of experiences in in webdesign and education. I don't have the equipment to make good video tutorials right now (working on that), but I am willing to teach what I know. So you may see links or such to my youtube channel with semi-eh videos on various topics.
I'm an admin to several furry-related Facebook groups. I enjoy supporting the community in small ways that I am able, however being a mom of two small kids, my tolerance for "Stupid levels of stupid" or general immaturity is limited. Most of that tolerance goes to my kids. ;) ;) Heh.
I generally consider myself a "clean artist". My "sexual" offerings are pretty much non-existent. I may offer sensual, or suggestive, but that's about far as I go. This kind of reflects my personal opinion that those sorts of topics are best left to privacy. Ya know? *see more below*
I'm also a fan of horror, terror, monsters, aliens, sci-fi, high-fantasy, gaming (tt, larp, mmos, card games), and more. So my subjects and themes may range all over the place. I am a bit of a nerd too. I love research, the environment, and stuff like that. :)
My style ranges from super cute/chibi, to realistic pencil drawings, into a hybrid of the styles:
Cute:

Realistic:

Hybrid:
* http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5848119/ ~ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/37188/
I also love celtic / norse Knot-work art:

However, I also know that there is a lot themes and subject matters out there that people consider "fetish" that I consider "not fetish" (in regards to personal interests). This is a personal difference and not a delusional thought process. I've worked in the pron industry doing web banners and web design before. OH YES the things I know and can never erase from my brain are many, in terms of what I KNOW is a fetish...... It's mind-boggling.
Being a college grad with live nude models classes - being nude isn't even a turn on for me anymore. ^.^ Nude is beautiful, artistic, amazing - but not sexual (not for me).
However, to me, things like feet, pregnancy, violence, food, vore (eating of things), etc.... they are NOT turn-on's. I'm a pretty vanilla person, as it were. So if I draw it, it's due to a purely vanilla interest.
I tend to rate my more "extreme" art at the PG-13 level. If you see me posting something attacking or eating something else, it's likely due to vent art rather then any adult interest as it were.
I hope that all makes sense?

I'm soooo tired of watching good and clean artists slip deeper and deeper into porn art. (I dont consider basic nudity to be porn)
If I unwatch someone its always because their art just got too sickening or disturbing to keep following.
Do you know hollyann? She is a great clean-art artists. :) Highly recommended! :)
A lot of folks go that way either due to breaking that boundary and being okay with it, or because of money. I'd rather be able to sell my art at craft fairs, or make coloring books. :) I've printed out some of my art lines for my kids to color even.
Not to mention my time is limited to when they sleep due to the nature of my 2yr old wanting to "help" all the time. lol !! So if I'm using that for pron, I won't get anything ELSE done! ^.^ Maybe in 2 or 3 more years I'll have more time, and less defending my artwork from small hands issues. ^.^
*ponders* Even then... It's a personal preference. I've -tried- a handful of times, to do more adult work, but it just feels "wrong". I've hidden those pieces because I can't bring myself to destroy any of my art. Urgh. They've never been scanned or posted. I end up feeling dirty, uncomfortable, and it's a very disturbing feeling, etc.
I'm not against it, per say. I mean I am an adult well into my 30's. I have plenty of good friends who are adult-artists. Some of their stuff makes me cry, it's so good. I have more then a few favorites too in my gallery that are adult-works (but they are mostly due to the skill rather then the subject matter).
However, I won't draw it. I just cannot push past that boundary.
Used to follow an artist with gorgeous work, and used to do all kinds of stuff. But eventually fell into a pit where all he did anymore was glory-hole art, and cumshot pieces. Got so bad and he was uploading so much of it at a time that it was virtually spamming my box.
And thanks for the heads up on Holly! Will check her out!
If it gets too bad, unless I personally know them -well-, I'll un-watch as well just due to having kidlets in the room with me a lot. I am not going to expose my 7 yr old to pron. Noooo... Bad mojo.
Sure! If I can dig anyone else up I'll point you that way too! :)
I will continue to watch and support your work! <3
The maxim goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" after all, and art is very subjective. There are people who think the super-abstract colored-lines-on-a-canvas is beautiful.... >.> Even if I still don't "get it". Heh. :)
^.^
See, I can't look at lines and be like. "This is the most beautiful peice of art." Cause there colored lines.... Like maybe I could see them as cool or something lol Not beautiful. I like color splashes or paint splatters though <3 Those I can see and say it's beautiful and Amazing.
Now pushing past one's comfort zone is a bit different then hard-set boundaries. However in either case, it should be a choice you do because you -want- to and not because you are pressured. IMO anyway. ;)
