Found a wallet in the middle of the road I live on... License, cards and cash all still in there.
Gotta go return it tomorrow... He's not too far away

I was stopped in traffic behind a Pickup a few months ago, and the guy had left his wallet on his rear bumper. I jumped out the car, grabbed the wallet and approached the window. Scared the hell out of him because he wasn't paying attention and suddenly there was a guy at his window, but he was very appreciative once he realized he wasn't getting carjacked. Felt good.

Yea anytime when approaching people in a car, I always hold my hands out plainly so they can see them, and stay back away from the car about 5 or more feet and ask if they need help from there...

Yeah, I got a bit excited and didn't do that, I did hold my hands up with his wallet to be visible in his rear view mirror but he wasn't paying attention, was looking down so I tapped on the window. I always check my surroundings when I'm in a car, whether I'm driving, a passenger, and the car is moving or stopped.
