Mileage toll tax in Cali, because cars are TOO efficient.

Because people seem to avoid politics and such like the plague, I'm going to put this here for the few of you that actually care what is going on beyond your computer screen.
So, yet another reason why I want to leave the envirotard mecca.... Is the Cali government is testing ways to tax cars based on mileage to make up for the lost revenue on highly taxed gasoline.
Let me try to simplify it a bit more: California gas is usually $1-$2 higher per gallon than most other states in the U.S.A.... (even though California is one of the big gas producing states, we get no credit at the pump like Texas or Alaska do) This is done to try and force people to be more "environmentally friendly" by driving more efficient vehicles. Well those same political envirotards now cannot understand why they are not getting the kind of money they used to when everyone was driving SUVs, so they think, on top of all this other stuff that they should tax people per mile driven, EVEN IF THEY ARE DRIVING ELECTRIC OR BIO-DIESEL CARS!!!!
Basically it is a tax for NOT USING ENOUGH GAS! LOfuckinL WTF?!?!
Yes that is right... On top of the gas tax, on top of the cal-trans tax, on top of all the registration tax, they now want to add a mileage tax!
And to add insult to injury, the federal government is also thinking of allowing states to Toll interstate travel and commerce in the "GROW AMERICA ACT", because they are too dumb to stop overspending on supposed "Defense" and corruption to help keep America's head above water.
I mean I love America, but as citizens we really need to go all Donald TRUMP on our entire Government and yell "YOU'RE FIRED!"

America... FUCK YEA!
Though "New" cars, by the very meaning of "New" CANNOT pollute less by the mere fact that they still have to be "made" therefore causing untold pollution just making said "NEW" thing to begin with. Look up what "Cash for clunkers" did to the environment and economy... It is not a pretty sight.
Also, electric cars need strip mining for rare earth minerals and their battery packs (usually in a country like china where out of sight and out of mind kicks in), and still get the brunt of their power from dirty coal burning plants and such, not exactly what I would call environmentally friendly, in all honesty.
Yes... Government, in its current, modern form is completely derp-a-derp.
What is funny is the more an economy flourishes the better everything gets, even the environment... Innovation takes off like crazy when people aren't just living from paycheck to paycheck and barely scraping by. Over the last decade or two or three, innovation, and especially entrepreneurship has stagnated.
Though we gotta hope big automakers and big oil don't keep buying up or make "Disappeared" new technologies, like when GM bought and then gag ordered the inventor of a new battery design that would have charged in mere minutes and lasted longer (more miles) than the same amount/weight of gas in a regular car.
Many businesses are already bouncing to Canada and other countries because of bullshit regulations, some of the biggest being oil, automotive, and the film industry.
It used to be that "Made in America" meant that all, or nearly all, of a product was actually MADE in America... Now it is usually more along the lines for the few things still around are, "Made elsewhere," then, "Assembled In America."
We have cable TV, reality TV, Sports Game Obsessions, Famous people obsessions (might as well be called idolatry), shitty food, and a distinct hatred of any sort of political discussions that might make a person have to actually critically think about things in the world around them... If I try and start a political discussion or such in all openness, willing to see all sides of such and be willing to agree to disagree on things, it gets me yelled at as being a troll or the whole "I don't need to talk about politics, because that is what the government is paid to do." <- People have actually said that more often than I care to count, usually with varying degrees of l33tspeek or txtspeek.
As I have said: Common sense is not very common, anymore.
I guess Americans just don't value their freedom, safety, or economy.
In the U.S. it is like Boiling frogs... Put them in a pot of boiling water and they will jump out... But put them in a pot of room temperature water and slowly turn the heat up, they will eventually boil to death.
Though now it seems that big corporations and big government are both in a race to see who can control each other better or control the people more.
