I have never been so excited for a video game

BEHOLD!
Among the sleep's release was just announced to be in one week.
Here's the trailer:

The game is set to be a first person survival horror from the perspective of a 2 year old child enduring night terrors.
MORE amazingly, it's set to have native Oculus rift support. (Crossing your eyes with the youtube video will work)

This means FULL EMERSON. As you move your head and look down at your body, you'll see the body of a 2 year old child. This will allow you to look around corners in the game as well. In rift, there will be no edges to the screen, it will take up your FULL field of view. Looking at some of the behind the scenes videos, they have taken a great attention to detail, even going as far as to move the two in game cameras for each eye closer together which distorts perspective... As an adult, simply lowering yourself to the height of a child doesn't make things look like they did when you were little. This is because your eyes grow farther apart. To put this in simple terms, it's going to be a very, very long time before anyone makes something that will distort your vision to make things look like they did when you were a child again.
I HATE the horror genre in video games, but this is too much to pass up. I'm extremely excited for this game.

As for your hate for horror games ... horror games are basically an ocean of shit with some hidden golden nuggets. Most people are talking about completely unscarry and boring stuff (Dead Space, Resident evil, whatever) but there are some extremely good ones. Routine and the forest, imo, could be a good example of extremely immersive horror games with a very enjoyable gameplay for instance.
As for the rift, it's basically a necessity IMO to play horror games.
Thing is, it's out the 29th, but I won't get it on release. I'll wait for the rift.
But like I said I clearly wouldn't say it's the game I await the most, there are some huge, ambitious projects, like star citizen or kingdom come delivrance, that are basically so big that I wonder if it's not a scam.
I don't LIKE horror games. Jump-scares work on me as they do most people, but honestly the real problem is that i just don't like the serious and adult mindset they put me in.
We almost always look at regression in the babyfur community in terms of the things that make us feel happy, safe, comforted, etc. Diapers, footie PJs, cartoons, bright colors...
Between the immersion of the rift and the general style of the game with it being in the first person perspective of a small child, I'm genuinely hoping it can recreate the feelings of childlike fear.
