Continued work on my video game, and its development goals.

So far, the game looks really nice! The plot line is all finalized, the levels are steadily being polished to look more organic, and all the core mechanics have been implemented to a (mostly) functional degree. This game started out as a project for my Game Design class, but plans to continue developing through summer are still in the schedule. Within the next few weeks, I'm planning on making a few prototype bosses, sound effects for attacks + some ambient background music, and adding many more areas to explore so that the world doesn't feel like one long linear tunnel with only one specific path.
Once summer begins I'll be working so I may not be able to invest as much time into it, but the project won't be stopping! Current long term goals will be to add a save/load ability, small npc villages, and a much better inventory/item management system.
While the idea of releasing the game to steam sounds amazing, I know that I would need to restructure how players control their characters. Currently both players would need to use the same keyboard to play. I would definitely need to add an online multiplayer feature to have the game be appealing to a wide enough audience for this to be worthwhile to eventually publish.
