ESG and a million other things.

I am the busiest of yeens.
It's been a month since ESG, and this will be my first non-busy weekend. I have nothing planned, and I plan on enjoying it at home with a pool party. :D
Speaking of...
Simply put, ESG was incredible.
I got to dance, in fursuit, at a private party hosted in one of the coolest Las Vegas night clubs, to one of my favorite artists playing live... just for us. I actually ran into Phil the next day at the bar in the lobby and complimented him on his set. He's super chill, and we spent the next 30 minutes or so talking about booze.
I went on a limo ride and crashed a wedding party at the Las Vegas sign.
I learned how to improve my Mint Juleps from one of the worlds foremost mixologists, Max Solano.
I got to watch the sunrise from a pool on the 28th floor of a Vegas hotel.
And I met a ton of new, really awesome people. :)
On a side note, I run registration for the event, and this year was the smoothest it's ever been. We had things set up well in advance, had brand new printers, and everything went smoothly. It went so fast that we hardly had any line! People would come in, show their ID, and be out of the room in less than a minute.
It's always been my favorite con, and not just because I'm a minion.
A lot of people misunderstand the event, and for good reason: it's different. It doesn't have a fully stocked artist alley, there's no dealer den, the panels are few and far between, there is no fursuit "parade", and there are no guests of honor.
What ESG /does/ have is a great venue for you and your friends to make your own adventures happen and meet a lot of amazing people. It doesn't have a lot of events, but that gives you the chance to get out of the hotel and explore! The last few places the event has been have been amazing resorts in really interesting cities! Why spend your time in a game room when you can go spend a day in a theme park? Why sit around in a lobby when you can socialize poolside? Why spend your time at the hotel bar when you can grab some of your friends, rent a big-ass limo, and cruise down the Las Vegas Strip?
Elliott's is a launchpad for greatness. You have every right to stay on the ground, but the sky is the limit. :)

FA+

A lot of regular conventions kind of always have the same thing. (Video game room, etc etc) it's nice to have things change around a bit.
I'll definitely be going to wherever it is next year

I went from esg to califur, and found califur very dull if not almost boring...
My regret about esg is arriving Friday too late for the club because of plane delays, missing most of the club Saturday because of jet lag from France with a 30mn nap that lasdted 4h, and not seizing the opportunity to meet many people, like you... Oh and i should have gotten myself 3D scanned, i would have been the only one in wet underwear and not in fursuit like that... Oh and i should have hit on guys more to *hum*... There was a handful of hotties. The mix of fursuit and wet bodies is agreat party combo.
Renting the suite and having it open all day and all night is the best idea the org has had. Its a social space to meet people.I got a lift to the airport with some staff guys and they told me where they want next year to be... I hope they will consider a 24h suite too because I'm afraid the venue otherwise won't be as cool and sexy if in a regular business hotel.
Cheers.
Hope to see you at one of the next events!
