No..you take out the strongest you can first, while you have the advantage of surprise. Otherwise you may end up with suspicious people that are near your capabilities.

That makes for a pyrrhic victory, if one at all.

If you plan things right you can make the strongest suspect the others and use the confusion to your advantage. Why risk a dangerous conflict with no sure victory when you can use the opponent as a tool for your own victory :)

Because then they get the uranium in the other guy's territory. Leaving him with nukes and you with nada.

Maybe try bringing a deck of cards? Or some game of cards that can handle 1 or more players. You can be part of the group and not part of the group all at the same time.

Actually, I brought a sketchpad, but pulling that out and doodling while ignoring else felt like it'd be kind of rude ... *shrug*

If you bring a large sketchpad, people can join in if they are artistically inclined. Anyone can join in on a card game.

The thing about a game is that focus gets sort of spread out. It never stays on you for long, unless you're winning.

That's not all that rude, ZC. A lot of artist friends I know - including Digo - do that. And you were interacting quite well with everyone from what I saw.

If you and Soki want to meet up again, I won't mind if you whip out a sketchbook and start doodling a bit. Though I'd be careful of doing it to the exclusion of all interaction. Mixing and matching with what you did tonight would be ideal. :)

A good time? Yes, I did. Though I had similar issues as ZC - I wasn't sure what to say, and I think my goofy, out of the loop sense of humor might have made people a bit wary.

But overall, I think it was a successful night out. I pigged out much more than I should have. :P

Oh that's not all the furs around here... I know of at least another 4 within 20 minutes buuuut I don't "know" them, just of them.

I'm sorry for my part in overwhelming you, I know you only expected 3 others there and there were 6. I just knew Soki was wanting to meet you in person so invited him along, and then Ome and Karu called like the day before the meet wanting to come over for a visit and they just happened to arrive right before the gathering! I would have done the inviting and kept everyone up to date on what was going on but alas my internet was cut off by stupid Qwest before it was supposed to so I was out of contact for the most part.

Honestly though I think you did great. You might not have spoken much but hey, neither did I! And Karu was busy making boxes and swans and bows with his napkins so not like you were alone in that either. You could have doodled if you had liked, though I would have been peering over your shoulder while you did so! =D

It was a nice gathering, I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Kinda makes me sad I'm moving now that there's more furs in the area to hang out with but I'm too locked into it. I hope you are able to hang out with Tazel and Fire more now that you've met them in person.

...I wish there were ANY furs within 100 miles or less of me. I know like MAYBE one, but that was over two years ago I last saw her and she scared me. ;.-.;
