It's pretty late into the season already, but seeing as I haven't really been on anything new (of note) this year it's pretty much the same jam. We'll see if this holds up by the end of the year. I hope not, because I'd love to ride some new rides that blow me away as much as these have.

Not going to write too much about these - even though I very well could and have in the past.

If you get a chance, check out Kennywood and Waldameer in Pittsburgh and Erie PA. Great wooden coasters with suprise terrien drops you don't find down south.

Yeah I plan on combining a trip out to both of those places with Anthrocon next year.

Honestly those three rides make a lot of enthusiasts top 10 lists, for very good reason.

I'm somewhat surprised to see Millenium Force that far down on the list, because more than often, it's #1. But I like variety too. El Toro is a fantastic ride though, Intamin really did well on that one., and Maverick as well. You know, I've actually never been on any of these... although I did fly over White Lightning and Fun Spot once on my way to Disney World. I want to ride them SO bad though...

Honestly I find Millennium Force to be extremely over-rated by the general public. It's a very, very good ride, but not #1 material and not even the best ride in the park it's at. Maverick is so much better in almost every way.

El Toro is just...nothing short of absolutely incredible.

Agreed, I do think it's overrated as well, I just thought you'd be one of those cliche people who put Millenium Force at #1. I've just gotten used to EVERYONE putting Millenium Force at #1. Obviously, you're better than that XD. And, yes, though I've never ridden it, El Toro is one of my favorites, and pretty much the most dominant wooden coaster of all time. It DWARFS all other wooden coasters and makes them look like little kiddie rides. How's the airtime on it? Because that honestly looks like the BEST part of the ride. The AIRTIMEEEEEEE

The airtime is absolutely outrageous, and intense, ejector airtime which is definitely the highlight of El Toro. Sitting in the back gives the strongest feeling. The final drop before the twister ending is fucking NUTS.

It sounds and looks like an INCREDIBLE ride. The g's at the twister ending look phenomenal (though those g's probably could not beat the g's I almost blacked out because of on Goliath at SFMM). God, I wish I had the opportunity to go to more parks. I feel like I'm really missing out...

I think MF deserves it's title from the back left seat. Same with Banshee. Front row Banshee is MEH, Back row is a better drop than MF in my opinion. Mean Streak is a lot better then ever this year :O They added a lot of new track around the first half and you can see all new metal brackets around the second far curve. Mean Streak was built by Charles Dinn o_O He did the original Texas Giant too. The infamous Crystal beach Cyclone was built by Harry Traver, who also built Cedar Point's Cyclone in the 40's or 50's I believe.

Only thing I want is Falcon's Fury to open. And for CP to get a dive coaster and omg it may happen \o/

I rode MF in the back left seat. It's the only seat I've ridden MF in. It's firmly set where it is, and is not nearly my top steel coaster.

I'm definitely trying to get out to Texas sometime. I have a feeling Iron Rattler and New Texas Giant will be very high on my list.

I rode IR last summer, and it is UNBELIEVABLY SMOOTH. I'm imagining that NTG could only be better. RMC is one of my fav companies, their rides are definitely worth riding! Goliath at SFGAm and Medusa Steel Coaster at SF Mexico, which both recently opened, look UN-FREAKING-BELIEVEABLE. You should really check out their POVS, and just see for yourself...

Yep seen both. Medusa Steel Coaster looks like it might be one of the best steel coasters ever really.

Might get to ride Goliath this year.

Very much agreed with the Medusa Steel Coaster comment. It seems as if RMC has now perfected their Iron Horse design, and their future seems to be glowing in terms of revolutionary coaster design. Now, they need to come over to Six Flags Magic Mountain a little faster to give Colossus that treatment... and they need to work with Cedar Fair as well! CHANGE MEAN STREAK, GOOD LORD (I haven't been on that ride but it looks ROUGH AS HELL!)

Expect many hills to be trimmed to the point of making the ride completely boring, and expect moments that would be somewhat fun to be uncomfortably rough.

Yea, I just watched the POV, and it looks incredibly slow and incredibly rough. The description was right when it said it was the BADDEST roller coaster at Cedar Point. And I mean, who can trust a ride from the company that also built the infamous Psyclone...

it's way better than when that was taken. Lots of work in the off season. Roughest coaster I've been on was Manhattan Express in Las Vegas. It busted my lip

I've been on the El Toro, and damn that bull got horns.
That is the first coaster I know just be on launch, no slow starts.
Just on point.
