Life Update / No MFF this year

*blows the dust off his FA journals* Ah-aah-AAHCHOO!!
*sniff*
Well, since the last journal was a meme and the one before that was not an April Fools' joke, I figured it's time to post something more substantial.
I've been working in my new job for a little bit over three months now, and I have to say: the pay could be better, but the job is definitely fun. I work as an editor for a local newspaper and one of the perks is that I get out of the office every now and then to meet new people, talk to them and write down their stories. Of course, that involves a lot of driving around, but at least I get my expenses reimbursed ^.^
Now the downside is that I didn't get any vacation time granted for the week after MFF. I will still fly to the US this year to see
neonoae and I am soooooo very happy that I get to spend two weeks with him (YAAAAAYY!!!), but missing MFF (I'll leave the day the con starts) is still a bummer
Oh well... there are always more MFFs to come...
(*time skip to December 8, 2014* MFF staff: Unfortunately attendance was below 100 and we can't afford to ever do a con again, sorry guys! - Asyr: NOOOOOOOOO!!!)
x.x
I have a weird mind at times...

FA+

And thanks!
I think you'll have more fun with your boyfriend than you will at a convention, so no need to worry about missing one. Cons never die, they only get stronger as every year passes until they're overblown like comicon.
Never been to ComiCon, so I dunno XD
Neither have I, but I hear it's hell, except you pay to go in to buy things and be surrounded by advertisements. So, totally worth it.
S'funny to think it has been a lil over 3 months hasn't it? But from what you've told me, you are indeed havin' fun there. Glad it's a positive environment.
Emmmmmmmmm....Almost two weeks together....To think it's less than five months to go. But yeah, part of me would truly enjoy seeing MFF back in November. SO much easier to plan with.
Btw....100 is ignorable....now if it were 1000, THAN they'd learn.
And yes indeed... if only those less than five months would fly by faster ^.^
You mean attendance drop more than 1000. I meant actual attendance just 100
I've been thinkin' that quite a bit too. Gha. XD
AHHH! I see now, yes...that would be amusing, though you'd also feel a "smidge" sorry for the 100 folks who paid for that and got so lil in return. ;-p
