Back in the saddle
Welp. I'm finished school for right now, finally got my high school diploma after dropping out all those years ago. And not three days after I graduate, I get in a massive fight with the people I live with. Now I'm looking at potentially moving. I just can't catch a break, it seems.
I'm not sure I'll open for commissions again for a good long while. Every time I try or even consider it, or sit down to try to finish my existing ones, something comes up. :( Working for other people on an artistic endeavor is so very stressful, it kills me. The subconcious pressure of trying to work for someone else makes me freeze up and stare at a blank page in terror.
Gotta finish these three, get a job again, and get moving. I'll be okay, at least. I know that much. If there's anything these last few years have taught me, it's that I can survive anything.

Of course, we have the GED-equivalent too, but I wanted to get in there and do it the 'normal' way, especially considering that will improve my chances at getting into university. I think we do have a SAT-equivalent, but your grade 12 course averages are also looked at for university.
In either case, I'm done now, so I have a 'proper' diploma. :3
Well and High School diploma's are actually worth more than a GED anyway, I know a friend who had a GED and he couldn't get any kind of a job in his town with that except for maybe fast food, but he decided to join the Army because his GED wasn't doing him any good and he went to a Military high school anyway.
As for me, well, I could have walked on water throughout high school... if I hadn't had everything go wrong at once. There was nothing wrong with my work. The problem was medical. I had so many things wrong with me it was a challenge to get to school even one day of the week. Three hours in school and I would have a splitting migraine and need to go to the bathroom for an entire hour. Hypersensitivity to noise, my Crohn's disease acting up, rampant insomnia, and general malaise and sickness... it was miserable. I dropped out because I was failing everything and couldn't stand it.
And that is very good, I can't imagine you suffering from malnutrition.
The only clue to the hypersensitivity in my case was that I have more acute hearing than normal, but the migraines remain unexplained. Still, it's not an uncommon syndrome set, true.
