The history of the Court

The Story
A very long time ago, Humans and Yaoguais lived together on earth without much problems. Some species were actually close to humans and they helped each other for as long as the humans came to be. Others on the other hand weren't very good for humans... They were the fringe dwellers of the Yaoguais.
Eventually, some humans became jealous of the Yaoguais' power and tried to subdue them. They decided to cut ties with the humans from then on but they still protected them. The fringe dwellers then started to interact more with humans, making things worst in their relationship. The humans leaders then decided that if they couldn't have the Yaoguais as slaves, they would exterminate them. They made a surprise attack on them. Each species had their home destroyed but because some humans were still trying to stay friends with the Yaoguais, they helped them escape the genocide.
The Yaoguais leaders then contacted the Loardeans, masters of dimension travel, and asked them to find them a place where they could rebuild their society. The Court was then built, in another dimention. Since some of the species didn't get along, mostly because of their views of humans, the Loardeans enforced rules to be followed and allowed access to earth for the Yaoguais that still wanted to live there.
Nowadays, since all the decisions must be put through votes, the leaders try and sway others by bribery and other means to get more votes to their cause. Some of them want to slowly go back in the human world to rebuild their home, some want to stay in the Court and have nothing to do with earth and others simply want to use humans as they please. The Loardeans that stays in the Court are there to make sure that the rules are followed and they serve as judges when a Ruling occurs (kind of their version of a trial) and for decision making for the whole Court.
The Rules
In the Court:
-None shall kill another Yaoguai denizen
-None shall physically attack someone else
-None shall use their powers on others unless it's meant to help
-None shall steal
On earth:
-None shall kill another Yaoguai denizen
On earth, the rules aren't very tight since the Loardeans are only concerned about the Court. But each species have their own sets of rules they try to follow without breaking the rules enforced by the Loardeans. Some Yaoguai species feed on human souls/blood so it upsets other species, hence the friction between leaders.
